This is entirely dependent on your definition of the word “assemble.” We’re pretty far away from robots creating themselves from scratch.
Fair enough. We’re not exactly talking about Stargate SG-1’s Replicators here.
But whoever built the first Replicators probably build more primitive models before that…..
